Our client, a well-established property development company in Northamptonshire, is currently looking for a Senior Land Manager to join their team.
About the Role: As the Senior Land Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring and managing land opportunities for the company's development projects. You will work closely with the development team to identify potential sites, negotiate with landowners, and manage the planning and development process. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong understanding of the property market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and acquire land opportunities for development projects
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential sites
* Negotiate land deals with landowners, agents and other stakeholders
* Manage the planning and development process, including obtaining planning permissions and managing consultants
* Work closely with the development team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, and consultants
* Monitor market trends and provide insights to the company's senior management team
* Mentor and train junior land managers within the team
Required Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in land acquisition and management within the property development industry
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with landowners and stakeholders
* Knowledge of the planning and development process
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proven track record of successfully acquiring and developing land for residential or commercial projects
* Full UK driving license
