Teaching Assistant Level 2 and Play Supervisor
Temporary in the first instance (to 31.08.25) term time only, to start as soon as possible
27.5 TA hours + 1.25 hours Play Supervisor hours a week (the latter would be a flexible arrangement to support access to lunchtime clubs)
8.45am – 3.15pm (with 45 min break across the day - timings to be confirmed)
Teaching Assistant: NJC points 5 - 6: £12.85 - £13.05 per hour
Play Supervisor: NJC point 2: £12.26 per hour
The successful candidate will:
• have experience of working in schools
• have experience of supporting children with special educational needs (e.g. an understanding of attachment, neurodiversity and basic skills programmes in literacy and numeracy)
• be able to support individuals and groups with their learning in and outside the classroom
• have experience of positively managing behaviour
• be hardworking, committed and enthusiastic
• be a team player and good communicator
• be dedicated to raising achievement for pupils and have high expectations
• have good initiative and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
• a willingness to take a full part in the life of the school
NVQ level 2 qualifications (or equivalent) would be beneficial. Support and training for the role is available.
