Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Weekend, On-Call Field Care Supervisor to support our care professionals and clients, ensuring that they receive the appropriate support and a high-quality service.
Hours: 39.5 hours (Worked over 1 weekend, once every 2 weeks)
Shift Pattern:
* Friday 4pm to 10pm (on-call working from home, with first hour as a handover in the office)
* Saturday 7am to 10pm (predominantly working from home with some in the field working)
* Sunday 7am to 10pm (predominantly working from home with some in the field working)
* Monday 7am to 10.30am (on-call working from home with the last hour as a handover in the office)
Duties include:
* To provide on-call assistance to Clients and Care Professionals
* Undertake visits that cannot otherwise be covered
* Support care consultations, service reviews and complete client support plans
* Conduct client and Care Professional introductions
* Conduct support visits
* Maintain accurate Client and Care Professional records on appropriate systems
* Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients, families and other professionals involved in their care
* Attend and provide a comprehensive face to face handover at the beginning and end of each period of work (4pm Friday, 9.30am Monday)
* Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
* Occasional cover on alternate weeks when required
* Any other duties as directed by your line manager
Your suitability for the role of on-call Field Supervisor:
* Experienced within the care sector including delivering a wide range of personal care services.
* Must have full driving licence and be able to travel within the territory to visit clients.
* Ability to work under pressure with good communication skills and accurate record keeping.
* Must be confident in dealing with Clients, Care Professionals, family and external organisations.
* Must understand the importance of confidentiality, working within current legislation.
* Experience of working with MAR sheets and medication.
* Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care.
* Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office or similar with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and software where appropriate.
* Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients and helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes.
