Casual Leisure Attendant

£12.96 per hour
Are you ready for an exciting new challenge?
We require motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our team on a casual basis, covering annual leave and sickness.
Duties will include:
1. Ensuring customer safety at all times
2. Communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff
3. Undertaking cleaning duties
4. Setting up and dismantling sports equipment in a safe environment
5. Lifeguarding (where applicable)
You will be based at DG1, which features 3 swimming pools, a health suite with sauna and steam room, a 6-court sports hall, a large fitness suite, 2 fitness studios, and a wellbeing area.
You will assist in actively promoting DG1 and Leisure and Sport activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience of working with the general public and customer care is essential; ideally, you will have experience in leisure facilities.
For the right candidates, we will provide the necessary RLSS Pool Lifeguard Qualification for this job. Applicants must pass the pre-course water competency assessment and interview to be selected for the Pool Lifeguard Course, which runs from 24th February to 1st March at DG1. Full attendance is required.
You will also be required to attend regular staff training sessions. This post includes shift work, including evenings and weekends, and is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
Water Competency Assessment Criteria:
* Jump/dive into deep water
* Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
* Swim 100 metres continuously on front
* Swim 100 metres continuously on back
* Tread water for 30 seconds in deep water
* Surface dive to the pool floor
* Climb out unaided without a ladder or steps where the pool design permits
