Production Planner Hours - 7.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday Location - Alton, Hampshire Salary - 33k - 37k depending on experience This is an office based vacancy Main Purpose of the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Manufacturing Production Planner to join our team in the Supply Chain Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to optimize production schedules and resources. During busy periods, you may be required to assist the team with additional admin duties. Roles and Responsibilities Develop and maintain the production schedule based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and identify potential delays or bottlenecks. Lead and facilitate the twice-weekly production meetings to review schedules, address challenges, and align teams on production goals. Planning priorities for internal production and assembly. Main point of contact between Sales/Client Support & Operations for updates on existing orders/lead times for new enquiries. Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or issues. Oversee and manage external fabricators and subcontractors, ensuring they meet quality, time-line, and cost expectations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabrication vendors and subcontractors, negotiating lead times and resolving production issues as needed. Address any quality or delivery issues with external suppliers, working with quality assurance and procurement teams to find solutions. Maintaining communication with Supply Chain Manager/Head of Supply Chain for all in-production jobs. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure production standards are consistently met. Working closely with the Engineering/CAD team to identify any potential supply issues for fabrication. Assist with Month End reporting in reference to jobs in WIP.
