Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Engineer to join the team located at sites across the Northeast of England between Darlington and Felling. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions are maintained regarding critical building systems and for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive, and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Travel to sites across the advertised locations. Full UK driving license required.
* Ensure that routine PPM (to SFG 20) is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
* Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
* Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain serviceable order.
* Ensure suitable spares are available for maintenance and reactive works.
* Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive, and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator.
* Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
* Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
* Ensure a Safe and Healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times.
* Maintain a professional image of CBRE Managed Services at all times.
* Keep up-to-date shift logs.
* Ensure that all plant rooms are locked and kept clean and tidy.
* Supervise and monitor subcontractors' works while on site.
* Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
* Undertake lone working when required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
* Action and complete assigned tasks appropriately.
* Complete tasks with appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
* Comply with contractual KPI's/SLA's.
* Keep the Computer Based Maintenance system, SI LOCAL, up to date, ensuring PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data.
* Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements.
* Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
* Any other task as directed by the account management team.
Qualifications:
Education
* A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English.
* Basic Mathematics skills.
* CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.
Skills
* Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
* Calm manner, able to work under pressure.
* Able to make sound decisions when needed.
* Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
* Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment.
* Able to work at heights.
* A team player, able to work with CBRE Managed Services and Alstom representatives at all levels.
* Good PC skills.
Knowledge
* Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures, and working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
* Formally trained in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
* BMS Knowledge.
* Mechanical and commissioning experience.
* Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as IOSH.
* Ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, Crac units or equivalent, including fault finding using graphical information and current alarm data.
* Understanding of the demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.
Experience:
* Mechanical maintenance skills.
* Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria.
* Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.
* Working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
Circumstances:
* Willingness to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
* Must have a full UK driving license.
