Supporting a Staffordshire school in recruiting a part time English specialist to start as soon as possible!
I am supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a Teacher of English on a part time basis, ideally to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality English language and Literature lessons to students across Key Stage 3 & 4 and fostering a positive learning environment.
With a strong command of English grammar, literature, writing skills, and pedagogy, we hope to recruit someone who will be able to engage students in meaningful, interactive lessons that encourage a love of language and reading.

Line Manager: Head of Department
* Strong understanding of both English Literature and English Language, with the ability to explain them clearly to students of varying abilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency with educational technology, including online learning platforms.
* Ability to engage students in meaningful discussions and critical thinking.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
* Ability to differentiate instruction and provide support for students with diverse learning needs.
* Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum, covering reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literature and language arts.
* Developing and administering assignments, quizzes, and exams to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
* Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Work closely with other faculty members, administrators, and parents to promote a collaborative learning environment.
* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
* QTS, QTLS, and/or relevant teaching experience.
