- THE ROLE -
To work as an effective member of the Financial Planning & Reporting team to provide user support and development of the University’s financial reporting and information systems, including the delivery of staff training and to provide business analysis and intelligence reporting to support the core business of the Finance department and the wider University.
- ABOUT YOU -
* A primary degree in a business-related discipline which includes a substantial element of Accounting or Information Technology OR Qualified Accounting Technician.
* Practical experience gained within a large, complex organisation (turnover greater than £10 million) to include any of the following: financial planning, budget-setting, management or financial accounts preparation or regular reconciliation/reporting of high volumes of complex data for a specific business function.
* Significant experience of financial modelling and analytics, including extracting data from multiple systems.
* Experience of working with Business Intelligence Reporting tools for example IBM Cognos Analytics or similar.
* Advanced user of MS Office applications with demonstrable evidence of the use and application of Excel.
* A strong personal commitment to professional values and integrity and commitment to your own continuous professional development.
* Willingness to travel as required by the needs of the post and to work outside normal office hours on occasion to meet the demands of the role.
