In this role, you’ll work closely with our experienced Magento team to create bespoke, high-quality solutions for a portfolio of eCommerce websites.
While past Magento experience is preferred, we’re open to candidates with a strong background in frontend development for PHP-based frameworks.
You’ll receive mentorship and guidance, but a passion for learning and self-improvement is key to thriving in this role.
What does a typical day look like? Develop custom frontend Magento modules and functionality, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Build and refine responsive designs using modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript standards.
Collaborate with the team on scoping and estimation sessions for new projects and features.
Peer-review code contributions from other developers to maintain high-quality standards.
Provide technical advice and support to the wider eCommerce team regarding Magento frontend development.
Essential skills 3 years of experience in frontend development, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript .
Proficiency in CSS preprocessors.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git .
A keen focus on performance, security, and user experience in eCommerce.
Strong communication skills in English.
Desirable skills Experience developing custom frontend solutions for Magento 2 (Commerce [Enterprise] edition is a bonus).
Familiarity with Magento’s frontend architecture.
Knowledge of PHP to collaborate effectively with backend developers.
Experience with debugging tools.
Familiarity with Agile project management processes.
