Senior Social Workers have a vital role in providing professional leadership to our Children & Families teams to deliver quality services, promote and deliver high standards and best value, create prosperity, achieve social justice, and importantly, meet the needs of the people within our communities. We are looking for a creative and experienced manager to join our team in Corporate Parenting at Children’s Carers Centre in Airdrie. The remit would include line management responsibility for the five Children’s House Managers as well as supporting the Education and Families Manager Corporate Parenting (EFM) with management oversight of all aspects of the children’s houses. You will lead practice to deliver improved outcomes for children and young people and support North Lanarkshire in fulfilling its commitment to keep The Promise.

Working within the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC), child protection, and looked after children and care experienced young people frameworks, we encourage innovative practice and evidence-based approaches to support our work with children, young people, and families.
We need managers who can lead, develop, and motivate staff, have an excellent track record, and significant post-qualifying experience. You should also be highly motivated and an inspirational social work practitioner, passionate and committed to driving forward change while promoting innovation in a culture where people feel supported to do their jobs.

You must have a CQSW/DipSW or equivalent, along with significant post-qualifying experience in Social Work and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
Temporary fixed term 23 months.
