Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Design and build material storage plan for new program launches and/or major program changes, including PFEP, layout, pallet racking, signage, line-side racks, and material presentation.
* Design and build packaging as required for new program launches and/or program changes.
* Complete material analysis and layouts required for new business/quote opportunities.
* Lead layout changes for floor materials storage for C.I., major program additions, and/or changes, new business, etc.
* Support floor supervisors, material handlers, and line stockers during launch activities.
* Work to reduce excess handling of material in all areas of the plant.
* Maximize plant storage of all materials, documents, office layouts, etc.
* Ensure plant adheres to all regulations and codes in respect to layout (e.g., aisles, exits, stairways).
* Work with outside vendors as well as plant teams to make layout changes on the floor or in the office.
* Document all activities as required.
* Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
* Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
Limits of Authority:
* Advise Department Manager of situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety, or customer satisfaction results.
* Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.
* Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, or system.
* Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation.
* Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
* Sign off “Approved” layouts for facilities.
Basic Education, Experience And Skills Required:
* Minimum of 4 years’ college education or equivalent combination of education and experience – preferred Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or Packaging.
* Minimum of 2 years related experience in manufacturing and assembly operations.
* Excellent working knowledge of Auto CAD.
* Windows applications (Excel, Word, Project).
* Good mechanical/technical skills preferred.
* Possess excellent leadership abilities, organizational, and communication skills.
* Able to maintain confidential information.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:
* Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
Travel Requirements:
* Up to 30% travel required.
* Occasional overnight travel required.
* Valid driver’s license required.
