Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Based Service Engineer to join their team specialising in hydraulic lifting equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical guidance and customer support. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, breakdown and repair, installation, and pre-installation checks.
Field Based Service Engineer
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + healthy amounts of overtime + shift allowances
Location: Home Counties - Field Based - Expenses/allowances covered - Company vehicle and fuel card
What you'll do:
* Provide technical guidance and customer breakdown support
* Perform servicing, breakdown and repair tasks
* Assist with installations and pre-installation checks (PDI’s)
* Offer out of hours assistance when required
* Maintain stock of parts on vehicle
* Participate in daily contact with office, usually upon job completion
* Contribute to team meetings covering Health & Safety, ISO9001 improvements, requests and changes, inspections
* Undertake any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Management Team
What you bring:
* Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role
* Experience in working with Hydraulics and electrics
* Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
* Ability to provide excellent customer service
* Experience with installations and pre-installation checks (PDI’s)
* Willingness to offer out of hours assistance when required
* Excellent communication skills for daily contact with office
* Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
