We are WorkwithYork and are currently looking for a Fire Risk Assessor or Site Manager, to be responsible for delivering projects within a client’s Building Services Planned and Cyclical Investment Programme. Our client is seeking an individual, enthusiastic, and passionate with knowledge of traditional, non traditional and emerging construction methods and applications in the built environment, including British Standards and Building Regulations.
This is an interim role, 37 hours a week, and initially for 3 months but there may be potential it to be extended. The rate of pay is £19.19 per hour.
You will help;
Oversee fire risk assessment work, audits, inspections and surveys
Assist in carrying out secondary inspections of pre and post remedial works, for the full portfolio of properties our local authority client has.
The role will involve physical work, accessing lofts, so physical fitness and mobility will be needed.
You will;
Produce and maintain reports/documentation for fire risk assessment specifications, with the ability to demonstrate inspections and remedial actions.
Coordinate, communicate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Identify any shortfalls in service delivery. This will be through regular contact throughout the scheme of works, site visits and progress meetings with Contractors, Surveyors, Architects and Structural Engineers, ensuring KPI’s are met.
Key skills/experience required:
Previous experience completing type 1-3 fire risk assessments, across a range of domestic housing stock.
Experience completing FRA's in social housing or construction settings, would be beneficial.
A qualification in construction (City & Guilds or equivalent) or relevant proven experience.
A Fire Risk Assessment Qualification FPA Level 3 or equivalent or NEBOSH would be desirable.
Technical design knowledge of building repair, renovation and modernisation works, including writing specifications for materials and quality installation standards.
Full UK valid driving licence.
