Axcis Education is delighted to partner with a beautiful countryside nursery on the edge of Torquay, who are seeking a dedicated Preschool Room Leader to join their amazing team. As the Preschool Room Leader, you will work closely with the children, alongside an experienced and supportive staff team. You’ll be responsible for managing and supporting the staff in the room to ensure the highest quality of childcare is consistently provided. Your leadership will help maintain a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and supporting your team to ensure high-quality care and education
2. Overseeing the safeguarding of children
3. Implementing and reviewing learning plans to ensure each child's development is supported
4. Providing strong leadership to promote positive relationships within the team
5. Ensuring that all nursery policies and procedures are followed
About You:
1. You have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare (essential)
2. You have experience working in a childcare setting, with strong leadership and organisational skills
3. You must be able to drive as we are located on the edge of Newton Abbot and Torquay (or must be able to be dropped off).
4. You have a passion for working with children and helping them grow in a safe, nurturing environment
Working Hours & Benefits:
1. Full-time hours, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM (or 4 days a week if preferred)
2. Competitive rate of pay between £12.50-£14.00 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications
