We’re looking to recruit a commercially driven General Manager at the Holiday Inn, Southend, a contemporary hotel in Southend with excellent event facilities and the 1935 Rooftop Restaurant where you can savour modern British dishes whilst overlooking the runway and the surrounding countryside.

* As General Manager your role will be to lead a team of hospitality experts to achieve revenue and growth for our owners within a full-service hotel setting.

What do we need from you?
* You’ll be the hotel’s focal point and custodian, leading your team from the front whilst demonstrating your extensive experience when it comes to setting the standard in hospitality.
* Commercially driven, you’ll be able to utilise your skillset to drive revenue and rooms business.
* You’ll be an inspirational people leader, with a high level of personal resilience to drive change, evidence of engaging hearts and minds, and delivering a compelling vision for a business.
* With the scope of the role, team, and property in mind, you will have demonstrable experience as a General Manager within a similar environment. Previous experience in a property near to a major transport hub would also be advantageous.
* Your role will also include managing multiple stakeholders; therefore, experience working closely with owners or in a 3rd party management model will be crucial to the success of this role.
