The school's focus is on supporting students who may have struggled in mainstream education, offering them tailored learning experiences that empower them to succeed. With small class sizes of just six students maximum and a learning mentor-to-student ratio of 1:3, they ensure personalized support for every learner. The facilities include a creative media hub, a wellbeing room, a counselling room, and spaces dedicated to music and science. They follow the national curriculum while adapting to meet individual needs.
The Role:
As a science teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with the leadership team, parents, and external agencies to provide targeted interventions that address individual needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Building positive relationships with students to inspire trust and motivation.
2. Delivering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics alongside the national curriculum.
3. Supporting classroom activities and helping to deliver tailored learning plans.
4. Encouraging positive behaviour and managing challenging situations effectively.
5. Working alongside EHCPs and tailoring classes.

1. Must hold a QTS.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

5. Resilience, a lively personality, a good sense of humour, and thick skin to handle challenges effectively.
6. The ability to find common ground with students and foster trust.
This role is a long-term job role; if successful, you will gain a contract with the school.
