A leading manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire is looking for 2 x experienced Production Operatives with experience in CNC machines, wiring, wire routing, etc., to join a growing established team due to company growth on a permanent basis.
The two different shifts are:
1. 6am - 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday and only 5 hours on a Friday 6am - 11am - £23k
2. 2.30pm - 11pm, Monday to Thursday and only 5 hours on a Friday 11am - 4pm - £26k
FURTHER TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working in any area of component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing as required to meet delivery requirements.
2. Carrying out component manufacturing and product assembly to meet requirements documented in build instructions, drawings, BOMs, or other related documents.
3. Ensuring all activities satisfy quality standards or other applicable standards.
4. Setting up component manufacturing equipment (including EHRT, Plating line, power presses) and product production areas to ensure they run efficiently and effectively.
5. Maintaining a safe, orderly, and clean work area and ensuring safe working practices are carried out at all times.
6. Ensuring that all components and products are stored tidily and correctly identified.
7. Accurately maintaining production records, product records, and other records.
8. Liaising with Team Leaders to ensure stock levels are kept up to date.
9. Ensuring equipment is running efficiently/effectively with maximum use of material, resources, and time.
10. Maintaining machinery and equipment as required by TPM programs.
11. Alerting the Production Manager or other appropriate staff of any plant or equipment maintenance issues.
12. Taking an active part in all team working and continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Offering suggestions to the Team Leader/Line Manager that will improve the efficiency and safety of production areas and equipment.
14. Raising awareness of manufacturing problems with the Production Manager and working with others to find and effectively implement solutions.
Previous experience in production, assembling products, wiring, and machinery is essential, or a strong work history looking for a new challenge/career change. Candidates need to be able to multitask, work to drawings once more experienced, and have the ability to problem-solve and identify root causes and suggest solutions.
