Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be supporting a packaging solutions business, in the search and selection of a Senior Procurement Manager, based at their Biggleswade distribution operation.
As the Senior Procurement Manager you will take the lead in defining and executing a game-changing packaging procurement strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role, perfect for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Own the Procurement Strategy – Develop, implement, and refine a procurement strategy that aligns with the groups ambitious growth plans.
2. Lead & Inspire – Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing team in a fast-moving environment.
3. Supplier Excellence – Establish and nurture key supplier relationships, negotiating best-in-class agreements and ensuring long-term success.
4. Drive Business Impact – Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the supply chain is aligned with business objectives.
5. Optimise Supply Chain – Analyse market trends, enhance efficiency, and improve cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
6. Champion Innovation – Identify opportunities for cost reduction, sustainability, and process improvements.
7. Ensure Compliance & Risk Management – Maintain best practices in procurement governance, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
Skills & Experience:
1. 10+ years’ experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
2. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and sub-contract manufacturing negotiation expertise.
3. Proven strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and the ability to drive change.
4. Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
5. Proficiency in procurement software & ERP systems.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
7. Track record of driving cost efficiencies and supply chain improvements.
8. Experience in managing intercompany relationships and collaborating across multiple business units.
