Sales Specialist and Consultant
Job Summary
This role is responsible for learning and developing an understanding of the organization's offerings and leveraging this knowledge to build client relationships. The role requires effective communication of the organization's value proposition while addressing client needs and collaborating with various internal teams. The role uses sales data to track progress, improve techniques, and seek feedback from senior team members to enhance sales techniques.
Responsibilities
1. Understands the unique value propositions and competitive advantages of the organization’s products, services, solutions, and software in detail.
2. Develops a professional relationship with clients, understanding their unique business needs and communicating those to the internal teams.
3. Learns to effectively communicate the value of the organization's offerings while addressing client needs and concerns.
4. Assists account managers by promptly responding to customer requests within the specialized area.
5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to support sales initiatives.
6. Conducts preliminary research on leads to understand their needs, challenges, and potential fit with organization's solutions.
7. Gathers information about competitors' offerings, strengths, and weaknesses and shares insights with the team contributing to competitive strategies and market positioning.
8. Learns to analyze sales data to track progress and contribute to sales forecasting and pipeline reports while identifying areas for improvement.
9. Seeks feedback from senior team members and managers to improve sales techniques and approaches.
Education & Experience Recommended
1. Typically has 2+ years of work experience, preferably in new business development, technical selling, consultative selling, acquisition account management, or a related field.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
