Responsibilities of our English Lecturer:
Deliver teaching and learning across a range of qualification types, ensuring stretch, challenge, and engagement of learners.
Plan and prepare lessons and contribute to all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans, online resources, etc.
Mark learners work, providing meaningful feedback on how improvements can be made.
Maintain accurate records and monitor learner attendance and progress, planning additional support when required.
Fully engage with the quality assurance processes within the curriculum area.
Attend team meetings and communicate with colleagues, sharing good practice within the curriculum area and the wider college when required.
Represent the college at parent evenings, taster days, open days, careers, and other educational events.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject specialism by engaging with appropriate professional development.
Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in english
Subject specialism in english
Previous experience of teaching english
Experience of working with a wide range of students
Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with students of all ages in classroom, workshop and one to one situation, including students from Hull College School.
