Eden Brown are working with a well-known Regional Charity as they are seeking a highly experienced Housing Advice and Homelessness Manager to work on a permanent contract in Liverpool.
The role as Housing Advice and Homelessness Manager will involve:
1. Managing a team of 10 support advice officers.
2. Fostering an environment where meaningful connections are made with service users to maximize engagement and take up of services on offer.
3. Maintaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant housing, welfare rights, and benefits legislation and acting as a central resource providing expert advice and assistance to resolve or prevent homelessness or housing need.
4. Having a working understanding of asylum and immigration legislation.
5. Working with key partners to negotiate and inspire successful solutions and outcomes for service users; where appropriate, constructively challenging assessment decisions or exclusions.
6. Coordinating and supporting staff to develop and deliver effective needs and risk assessments, initial crisis intervention, and support. This will include some direct provision.
7. Supporting and coordinating staff to collaborate with service users to develop tailored support plans which maximize each individual's potential and ability to be self-determining.
8. Working with other advice agencies to ensure a coordinated approach which maximizes the range of advice available to service users.
