The Role
We are looking for a Quantitative Business Analyst to join our Product team which is responsible for driving TradingHub's product vision and strategy. Their contribution spans all stages of the product development lifecycle, including design, review and enhancements as well as model validation.
The successful candidate will have financial markets analysis skills from either a trading or risk management background, and bring with them a curious nature and hands-on approach. You can expect to work on a range of projects including both short-term and more strategic initiatives, from defining metric requirements to reviewing and testing UI changes.
Responsibilities:
* Research and write requirements for new product features
* Assess existing product features and recommend improvements
* Investigate data issues in customer or market data feeds
* Prepare examples and material to support relationship managers in upcoming pitches and customer meetings
* Support model validation exercises undertaken by our customers to approve TradingHub products
* Design and test new user interface components
* Engage with customers to collect product feedback
* Prototype custom surveillance controls using TradingHub’s proprietary scripting language according to customer requirements
Requirements
Main Skills/Competencies:
* Previous experience as a Business Analyst working with an IT or quantitative team
* Solid understanding of at least one asset class e.g. fixed income, commodities etc.
* Understanding of different derivative trade types and their associated market risks
* Experience preparing and presenting material to senior stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in clear and succinct terms
* Understanding of mathematical techniques used in financial markets modelling
* Intermediate skills in a programming/scripting language such as SQL Python, C# etc.
