What's involved with this role: Delivery Manager (Connect To Work) Job Ref: Gloucestershire 5264510 Pay Rate: £52,265.00 per annum Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours Role Length: Permanent City: GLOUCESTER This role will provide strategic and operational support within the Employment & Skills Hub, overseeing managers delivering the Connect to Work programme. You will contribute to the programme's strategic development, ensuring positive employment and skills outcomes, especially for disadvantaged residents of Gloucestershire. Key duties: Advise programme managers and elected members on the strategic development of the Connect to Work programme. Manage the programme and assets, providing leadership and support to staff and partners. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to align the programme with local employment needs and council priorities. Lead performance management and quality assurance processes, ensuring high standards and compliance with DWP requirements. Collaborate with employers and organisations to identify emerging skills and workforce needs. Direct service improvements, using market intelligence to design support around customer and employer needs. Manage Hub budgets, ensuring effective monitoring, reporting, and robust audit trails for financial processes. Key requirements: A range of qualifications and or experience at a senior management level will be considered Good knowledge of local and national employment/skills strategies Experience of planning, analysis, presenting possible solutions to senior managers and elected members and securing their ‘buy-in’ and implementation Senior management experience in employment services Demonstrable experience of budget setting and financial management, including monitoring, reporting and dealing with short-term changes in budgets to meet organisational objectives Thorough understanding of the key local, regional and national issues affecting the provision employment and skills provision Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication skills Ability to negotiate and influence delivery of services Please quote the Job Title & Vacancy Reference No. in your application, or we will be unable to match your CV to the role being applied for.
