Essential requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within rail or civil engineering.
2. Strong Excel skills for project applications and reporting, with Microsoft Projects/Excel.
3. Proven ability to coordinate teams, track project progress, and challenge stakeholders to meet deliverables.
4. Experience with contractor processes, including financial applications, project updates, and compliance with project frameworks.
5. Familiarity with NEC contract standards, particularly Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
6. Certifications such as APM or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as a point of coordination across teams, ensuring project management activities align with rail frameworks.
2. Oversee project scheduling, workload allocation, and monitoring progress to support engineers and project managers.
3. Handle financial applications, reporting, and project administration, including chasing timesheets, issuing Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events under NEC contracts.
4. Provide support on civil/structural projects.
5. Liaise directly with the Commercial Manager to alleviate administrative burden and support operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for a project-driven individual with knowledge of NEC contracts and a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll support operational projects, facilitate workload allocation, and drive results. The role offers a mid-level position where you'll play a key part in project coordination and financial applications, adding real value to the team.
