Rudham Ward are recruiting a Band 2 health care assistant to work within our dedicated team. We are able to consider both full time and part time hours to successful candidates.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, dedicated Healthcare Assistant working under direct supervision of the registered nurse. You will be working to support and assist the delivery of high quality, safe dignified and compassionate health care.
This role requires you to practice and adopt the National 6 C’s which are Care, Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Competence and Courage. The 6Cs of nursing stand for the professional values and behaviours and commitment to always deliver excellent care. Each value is equal, not one is more important than the other. They focus on putting the person being cared for at the heart of the care they are given.
At The Queen Elizabeth Hospital we consistently practice and look after patients with dignity and compassion.
To accurately and promptly carryout the instructions of the registered nursing team, reporting to the registered nursing team any patient that gives cause for concern. To provide family centred care during the families time on Rudham ward.
Effectively communicate with both the MDT and families providing support and assistance while maintaining confidentiality
Promote a safe and welcoming environment for the children, young people and families during their time on Rudham
Once assessed as competent can independently under take clinical observations, reporting any concerns to the registered nurse.
