Bournemouth International Airport is seeking a dedicated and skilled AGL Technician to join our small, dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and compliance of our Airport Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, ensuring safe and continuous airport operations.
The Key Responsibilities of the role are:

* Contribute to the development and implementation of the AGL maintenance strategy in line with EASA 2017/373 & CAP168 regulations.
* Assist in creating a long-term plan for the repair, replacement, and upgrades of AGL systems.
* Monitor and ensure scheduled maintenance for all AGL assets to maintain optimal availability.
* Accurately document all work in accordance with Operational Procedures and CAA regulations, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
* Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring work is completed within the allocated timescales.
* Assist with the operation and testing of AGL Mobile Airfield Light Monitoring Systems (MALMS), and address any identified defects.
* Collaborate with Consultants and Contractors to ensure AGL projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Maintain personal competency through continuous training in line with required standards.
* Work in accordance with safety procedures, contribute to risk assessments, and support a safety-critical culture.
* Report incidents and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.
* Support Air Traffic Engineering (ATE) tasks and assist with electrical improvements within airport buildings.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* A full UK driving license is essential.
* Qualified electrician with relevant experience.
* Technical knowledge of AGL systems, with the ability to pass AGL-specific courses.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* A solid commitment to health and safety and experience in a safety-critical role.
