The Role We’re looking for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of multiple projects across the UK. This is a role where you can truly make an impact—balancing costs, ensuring profitability, and keeping everything running smoothly from start to finish. If you thrive on problem-solving, negotiation, and keeping projects financially on track, this is the perfect opportunity for you. What You’ll Be Doing Project Cost Management: Set up and maintain all project CPRs (Cost Performance Reports), ensuring they’re always up to date with revenue forecasts, turnover, cash inflows/outflows, and final account projections. Sub-Contractor Engagement: Obtain, appraise, and negotiate sub-contract quotations to secure the best value for each project. Procurement & Purchase Orders: Raise purchase orders and oversee procurement processes efficiently. Client & Contract Management: Prepare and submit payment applications in line with contract terms, ensuring timely approvals and payments. Site Visits & Reporting: Conduct site visits as needed, keeping a close eye on variations and pricing contract works accordingly. Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with pre-construction, design, factory, operations, finance, and aftercare teams to ensure project success. Meetings & Negotiations: Attend weekly project meetings, sub-contractor pre-order meetings, and client discussions. Final Account Agreements: Negotiate and agree on final valuations with clients and sub-contractors. Contract Review & Risk Management: Analyse contract documents to identify key financial, legal, and operational risks, ensuring the best outcomes for the business. Data & Documentation: Keep SharePoint organised and ensure all files are stored correctly. This role is central to the success of our projects, and while these are your core responsibilities, we’re looking for someone who can think on their feet and take initiative when needed.
