Health Records Service have 134 WTE staff over 6 sites and may be likened to the engine room, essential in helping the EKHUFT move forward providing patient focused services. The Patient healthcare records are required for each contact the patient has with a health professional. They act as a means of communication between professionals and provide a diary of events serving as the organisation’s memory. You will be responsible for one aspect of the department function at a time, but as we are committed to ensuring all staff know each role, multiskilling within Teams is essential and to work flexibly within the Service covering work of colleagues during peak periods of absence.
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with three acute hospitals and community sites serving a local population of around 700,000. We also provide specialist services for Kent and Medway.
We care about our patients and our people. We are focused on providing outstanding, safe patient care, and a positive working culture that benefits staff and patients alike. With our emphasis on staff training and development, a staff support scheme that’s second to none, and a healthy package of benefits, it’s easy to put down roots in East Kent Hospitals.
Applications for this role should be written by the applicant. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process. This does not prevent applicants seeking appropriate support with applications should they need to for the purposes of any declared disability.
Please note that if you require a Certificate of Sponsorship to work in the UK you must declare this on your application form, even if you currently have a certificate of sponsorship or a work permit for another role and are already working in the country. Please note we are only able to sponsor candidates on a Skilled Worker Visa applying for roles Band 5 and above.
