This is a maternity cover role for a Physical Health Nurse at Elysium Healthcare's Farndon Unit in Newark. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring observations and assessments, developing and supporting physical health interventions, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care for individuals with complex needs.
Main duties of the job
As a qualified Physical Health Nurse, you will lead and coordinate all aspects of the physical health needs of service users, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork with the multidisciplinary team, such as GPs and other physical health departments. You will adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct, develop and support physical health interventions, engage in practice development and evaluation, and work collaboratively with primary health and other physical health departments.

* Developing and supporting physical health interventions using knowledge of current best evidence-based practice.
* Engaging actively in practice development, evaluation, and audit activities relevant to physical healthcare.
* Working collaboratively with primary health, developing and maintaining links with GP practices and other physical health departments.
* Monitoring and maintaining Physical Health Dashboards.

Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW
You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma-specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.
You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability.
