Sandwell Adult Social Care is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our service and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults in Sandwell.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will manage a caseload of complex cases, supervise junior staff, and support service users to achieve their goals of independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of complex cases, providing specialised assessments and interventions.
* Supervise and support junior Occupational Therapists and students, ensuring high standards of practice.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and service users.
* Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
* Conduct manual handling risk assessments and provide recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
* Experienced in adult social care, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
* Demonstrable experience in managing complex cases and providing advanced clinical assessments.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
