Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established and reputable construction distributor who are looking to recruit an Office Manager with HR Expertise to provide hands-on office support for their team based in Kent.
The successful Office Manager will work closely with the Managing Director, acting as an integral senior member of staff managing the efficiency and daily operation of the office & employees. This position will be suited to a 'people-person' with expertise in office/people management, operations, HR and H&S.
The successful Office Manager will be expected to:
1. Demonstrate previous office / commercial awareness working in a rapidly growing business supporting management
2. Work closely with the team, supporting & developing staff training needs
3. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
4. Demonstrate excellent efficiency, organisation, and attention to detail, making decisions

Job Description
The Office Manager will be managing the day-to-day running and organisation of the office environment & team, with a particular focus on HR support and implementing processes and structure.
Duties to include but not limited to:
1. Review, improve & implement new processes and office procedures
2. Review & prepare weekly & monthly performance reports reflecting targets, margins etc
3. Attend weekly / monthly directors' meetings
4. Arrange & conduct regular 1 to 1's with staff members
5. Support with new starters, onboarding, and recruitment administration to include job descriptions, offer letters, references & liaising with preferred recruiter
6. Support managing business growth with employment structure
7. Work closely with management team on training requirements as required
8. Manage day to day HR administration include holiday, sickness, absences
9. Manage internal staff queries, supporting them make effective decision-making for the future with customer enquiries
10. Manage day to day office operations to ensure the smooth running and health & safety support
11. Occasionally attend trade shows to represent the business alongside director and team
This position will suit someone who enjoys working within a professional, supportive, and collaborative working environment with the ability to support making decisions confidently. Confident working closely with the MD and having experience in a previous position similar would benefit the successful applicant, along with effective communication and the ability to take responsibility on as the position grows.
Hours: Monday to Friday (core office hours between 7.30am - 4.30pm - flexible start time, latest finish 4:30pm)
Salary: £38k - £43k dependant on experience
