As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to ensure their educational and personal development needs are met. You will work alongside the class teacher and other staff to implement tailored learning strategies and provide individualised support to help the child achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, or those requiring additional help
Assist the student with understanding class materials and completing tasks
Implement personalised learning strategies and support plans in coordination with teaching staff
Foster a positive and encouraging relationship to enhance the student's confidence and academic engagement
Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
Promote inclusion and ensure the student feels valued within the classroom settingAbout you:

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting (desirable)
Understanding of SEN and the ability to work with students who may present various learning or behavioural needs
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student growth
Flexibility and adaptability in supporting students in different subjects and environmentsTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
