School: Grammar School
Location: North Birmingham
Role: Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: November 2024
Salary: Competitive
An outstanding grammar school in north Birmingham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for November 2024 for a one-year contract role initially. This is a full-time position.
This grammar school allows children to develop at their own pace and fulfill their potential in various areas of school life. Pupils' successes are the result of the staff's hard work to allow individual confidence to develop and unique qualities to shine. The Head is keen for the school to create a thirst for learning, which cannot happen from the classroom environment alone. By offering a diverse curriculum and enhanced extracurricular opportunities, children find success not just academically, but in music, sports, DT, and the Arts. Pupils are part of a school community that cares for each other and allows each member to grow as an individual.
The Head is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and caring person who will provide one-to-one support. The successful candidate will assist in a range of support activities related to individual needs, safeguarding, care, health, and well-being of the pupil to ensure a safe and secure environment. You must have experience working with children and helping those who need support to achieve their best at school. A level 2 or level 3 qualification is required, along with experience working with SEND students, particularly those with an Autism diagnosis.
If you are interested in working in a wonderful school and assisting pupils, please apply now. Or call Duncan Eaglesham on 07860 845 740 for an informal conversation and more information, including a job description. The school has a strong ethos of student welfare; therefore, any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS).
