Field-based Engineer Surveyor – Cranes / Lifting Equipment - Stoke-on-Trent & the North West
£40-45p/h – outside IR35 + average 45-50hr billing week + travel time + mileage + overnight accommodation & food allowance (as required) + collaborative & supportive global business environment
A leading global Professional Services organisation is looking to engage with an experienced field-based Engineer Surveyor for Cranes / Lifting Equipment to join their team on a long-term contract basis.
Field-based Engineer Surveyor – Cranes / Lifting Equipment remit:
1. Carry out high quality testing & inspections on behalf of a highly successful, global organisation.
2. Test & inspect various Cranes and other Lifting Equipment to include MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLTs etc to ensure compliance with current statutory requirements under LOLER/PUWER.
3. Undertake surveys across a diverse range of industries to include Nuclear, Automotive, Public Sector, Mobile Plant, Food manufacturing, Chemical manufacturing, Banking, Retail, Logistics, Emergency Services, Transport and Construction.
4. Produce comprehensive and detailed inspection reports.
5. Liaise & plan your schedule with internal departments to ensure works are completed.
6. Build and maintain long-term client relationships and internal business relations.
Field-based Engineer Surveyor - Cranes / Lifting Equipment profile:
1. Min NVQ3 or HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline.
2. Residing in the North West, you will ideally be happy to work both more locally and across the region depending on survey project requirements.
3. Experience as an Engineer Surveyor / Inspector for all manner of Lifting Equipment including MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLTs etc.
4. License to operate (LTO) advantageous.
5. Excellent working knowledge of testing & inspecting equipment to LOLER / PUWER / H&S regulations.
6. Comfortable working at height / Working at height certificate.
7. Accurate and timely reporting experience.
8. Confident verbal & written communication skills.
9. UK driving License & use of own car.
