Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with Global FMCG Manufacturing business in the search & selection of a Director of Global Indirect Procurement. A 9 month contract opportunity to cover a permanent position, due to a secondment, within the global business unit. The Role: Responsibility for the Global Category sourcing strategy for Indirect Procurement (Logistics & Supply Chain, Services and CAPEX). Deliver benefits, including top-line and bottom-line value contributions associated with the sub-categories, for which they are accountable. Global supplier relationships collaborating with senior stakeholders in all functional areas, including the B&I Leadership Team, and BUs globally to deliver benefits across multiple spend categories. Lead, manage, and develop a team of regional and global Category Managers responsible for Logistics & Supply Chain, Services and CAPEX across the B&I Business Group. Build and maintain close relationships with stakeholders to optimize value, mitigate risk and manage the innovation process with suppliers to align on long-term strategic priorities. Responsibilities: Spend portfolio in excess of £500m Supplier portfolio of 9500 (focus on top spend through pareto principle). Leading a team of 8 category managers Procurement KPIs: savings, contract and code of conduct compliance, supplier base management, categorization, payment term optimization, sustainability & ESG. Commercial ownership of strategic supply relationships. Security of supply through short-term issue resolution and longer-term strategic risk and relationship management. Supply base optimisation. Integrating with senior stakeholders to enhance competitive advantage. Manage, coach & develop the Global Indirect Procurement Category Team to work efficiently and ensure all KPIs are fulfilled Advancing business process through leading class standards implementation. Delivering high value to top line growth and bottom-line value contribution (savings). Develop the Global sourcing strategy and policies, focusing on the benefits achievement and plans related to all Indirect related sub-categories. Continuous drive for optimising working capital, costs, and service. Oversee and deliver annual value improvements in the relevant sub-categories The ideal candidate: Degree educated with an MCIPs qualification Expertise related to specific categories (CAPEX, Services, Logistics & Supply Chain). Strong problem solving and analytical expertise. Project management skills. Strong commercial acumen Effective leadership qualities with global perspective Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Career history within a senior procurement role, managing an international or global department. The position is being recruited now with the successful candidate being identified by the end of November, ready for starting on January the 2nd 2025.
