Job summary Northgate Village Surgery is located in the purpose built building Fountains Health Centre, we have a strong focus on health promotion and personalised care, supporting patients to make informed decisions about their health and social care. We are a dynamic, friendly, and supportive team with experience in training GPs and other healthcare professionals. This role will support the clinical team in the delivery of clinical and administrative services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. Utilising the NHS Health Education England GPA Competency Framework, the post holder working within general practice/primary care will provide capabilities within care, administration, clinical, communications and health records management. The successful applicant will be subject to Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and Occupational Health clearance Main duties of the job Duties - Extracting all information from clinical letters that needs coding and adding to notes Arranging appointments, referrals, tests and follow up appointments of patients Filing of lab results as protocol Completing basic (non-opinion) forms and core elements of some forms for the GP to approve and sign such as insurance forms, mortgage, benefits agency forms etc Explaining treatment procedures to patients Providing a chaperone when required The collection of clinical waste, ensuring appropriate storage prior to disposal.
