Category Manager

We have an opportunity for a Category Manager to join our UK Pet Care division. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to the success of the UK's No.1 dog treat brand, Good Boy, and other widely trusted pet brands such as IAMS, Eukanuba, FURminator, and Tetra.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of Spectrum Brands and our valued retail partners. We're seeking an enthusiastic passionate individual to collaborate on developing and implementing category strategies that drive sustainable growth.
The Role
As a key team member, you'll collaborate closely with the Category Management team to provide valuable insights into the UK commercial organisation, fostering data-driven decision-making. Your role includes maintaining and enhancing a consistent flow of insights and data across the business. Additionally, you'll innovate new approaches to make data easily accessible to diverse stakeholders, ensuring a clear and consistent message.
You'll support the retailer range review process both internally and externally, working closely with commercial retailer teams to achieve our business growth strategy. Cultivating relationships with the central strategic marketing team, you'll contribute to data-based decision-making in our NPD pipeline.
Working collaboratively with the UK team, you'll create winning solutions for category management POS materials and in-store tools, driving category sales and profitability. Undertaking regular store visits, you'll keenly observe and report key changes to the wider business. Additionally, you'll collaborate with external data suppliers to code and maintain our market database.
About you
What we’re looking for is someone with a positive and pro-active attitude, who works well as part of a team.
Essential skills and experience include strong proficiency in Excel and analytical skills, as well as a keen interest in generating data insights
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
A valid driving license, a car, and the willingness to travel for store visits and more are essential to this role.
