Are you a natural People Leader who is seeking somewhere to help shape the ethos and culture of our organisation to ensure that our values are lived out in the way we work, deliver services, and provide support?
Harris Burns are working with a dynamic, values-driven Christian charity that is committed to making our inclusive Christian ethos real in the life and work of the association. We’re seeking to recruit an emotionally intelligent Leader of People, who wants to put their faith into action by creating a workplace in which people of all faiths, and none, can truly flourish.
We have over 100 employees working across multiple sites in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire who are all committed to delivering our mission to inspire young people to discover their potential so that they can live life in all its fullness. We provide accommodation for more than 340 young people, many of whom have experienced homelessness, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also run two children’s nurseries and deliver youth work in areas of high need, manage two community centres with conferencing facilities, and deliver a range of business to business training, all of which create employment opportunities and deliver income for our charitable work.
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced senior manager with a strong track record in HR, organisational development and culture, and learning and development. You will be comfortable shaping our people strategy as part of the Executive Leadership Team and reporting on your performance to our board of trustees. But most of all, you’ll be passionate about making it a truly great place to work.
If you have the right skills and experience for the role, if you share our values, and if you want to contribute to our mission, we’d love to hear from you.
As an organisation fully committed to the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, a thorough vetting process is carried out as part of the appointment process, including verification of any required qualifications, verification of identity, taking of references, and a DBS check as appropriate.
In accordance with schedule 9 of the Equalities Act 2010, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian. Details of this are set out in the association’s ethos statement.
