Are you an experienced Finance individual with a strong understanding of accounts payable and treasury processes? I have a newly created permanent Finance Assistant opportunity offering to join a well-established, successful business, based in Nottinghamshire, who are experiencing further success and growth. In this role you would be a new addition to the existing team of 6 with this finance function and report into the Group Financial Controller, and have the opportunity to join and support at an exciting time of continued growth and pending positive change. About the Role: The role is full time and hybrid and you will work within an open plan office within the busy finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. In this newly created role you will have ownership of the accounts payable processes right through to year end processes on this ledger. You will also be responsible for the bank and cash processes supporting with cashflow forecast reports, working heavily in an ERP system and Excel. In this small team you will have exposure to other account processes and an opportunity to support with additional accounting tasks to further support the team. Key Responsibilities: Accounts payable processes:- Maintaining supplier account details, matching, batching and coding of supplier invoices, supplier queries, bacs payments, month and year end closure processes and reporting on cashflow. Responsibility of the banking and cash processes. Working within an ERP system and Excel. Ideally you will have: Proven experience working within an accounting role completing transactional accounting processes. Experience of accounts payable processes. Experience of treasury and banking processes. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical skills and experience in using financial software to produce reports and manage ledger accounts. Proficiency in an accounting software is preferred. Confident with Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level. What's on offer: A competitive salary depending on experience £28-30,000pa depending on experience. Career growth. Study support.
