We are looking for a capable, calm and proactive individual to join us as Refuge Coordinator. Working closely with the Refuge management team, you will help to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service by covering a range of tasks from processing referrals to providing monitoring information and organising visits from external agencies/organisations. As well as sharing your experience and offering guidance as needed to our Support Workers, you will provide direct key working cover on an ad hoc basis. You will also have responsibility for the efficient upkeep of the refuges, supervising our house-keeping service and liaising with our facilities manager. We are looking for: An understanding of what it means to work in a trauma informed environment Experience of supporting survivors of trauma (not direct personal or medical care) Expert knowledge of issues relating to domestic abuse and relevant support services Knowledge of safeguarding and issues such as welfare rights, housing legislation etc. Supervisory experience Strong organisational, administration and IT skills The ability to remain calm in potentially stressful situations and work well as part of a team Full UK driving licence and a car that can be used for work purposes.
