The Apprenticeship:
Kepak has an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kick start their career in Learning and Development (L&D). We need to get our amazing products onto the shelves for consumers as quickly as possible to enjoy, and our central L&D Team play a vital role in making sure our colleagues have the right development and support to allow them to do this.
Kepak are looking to recruit an L&D Apprentice to join the Group L&D team, the role will be predominantly based at our Rustlers Factory in Kirkham, Lancashire, but will involve occasional travel to some of our sites with the rest of the L&D team.
For Apprentices, this programme is the perfect entry point into L&D and HR in general, and the wider Food Industry, through a structured apprenticeship programme. As an apprentice, you earn while you learn and you will complete a Level 3 Learning & Development Practitioner apprenticeship standard.

We will support your experience with a buddy programme, a Mentor for the duration of your programme, as well as a detailed Learner Journey, to help you track your progress against the apprenticeship, as well as Kepak competencies.
What to expect in the job?
Training Coordination:
•Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
•Manage the logistics of training events, including venue booking, equipment setup, and material preparation.
•Maintain training calendars and ensure timely communication with participants and trainers.
Program Administration:
•Provide administrative support to the L&D team, including handling inquiries and resolving issues related to training activities.
•Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessment tools.
•Coordinate with external vendors and training providers as needed.
Data Management and Reporting:
•Track and report on training attendance, completion rates, and other relevant metrics.
•Prepare and present regular reports on L&D activities and outcomes to the L&D Manager and other stakeholders.
•Assist in the development and maintenance of the company’s learning management system (LMS)
•Maintain records of training expenditures and manage the L&D budget.
Training Delivery:
•Facilitate and Co-Facilitate information sessions and development workshops.
Some of the learning to expect from your Apprenticeship:
* Foundation level theories and models that underpin effective adult learning and group behaviour. For example, training/learning cycle, group dynamics, continuing professional development, evaluation.
* The role of data to analyse learning needs and ensure effective delivery.
* How technology supports learning, including understanding of digital platforms / delivery channels as relevant.
* Plan, organise and prepare for a training/learning event/intervention in a timely fashion.
* Interact with learners of varying abilities, using a broad range of techniques and carefully planned and executed questioning techniques.
* Evaluate the impact of learning solutions - measure and assess development initiatives for effectiveness, business relevance, efficiency, and continually seek ways to improve learning solutions.
Salary:
Our L&D Apprentice will earn a salary of £17,000 in Year 1, with a potential increase to £19,000 at the start of Year 2.
