Key Responsibilities
Receiving:
Assist with loading and unloading goods received into the company.
Book items in and out of the inspection area for detailed quality checks as needed.
Verify incoming goods and report any discrepancies to Purchasing.
Ensure full traceability, labelling items, assigning internal batch numbers, and filing supplier Certificates of Conformity.
Distribute Goods Received Notes (GRNs) to the finance department.
Deliver non-stock items to the correct departments.Kitting:
Provide timely kitting of materials needed for production.
Prepare materials for any sub-contract operations required by Purchasing.
Address and clear any shortages, ensuring production has all necessary materials.General Duties:
Maintain stock locations and manage the shelf-life of specific materials (e.g., adhesives, resins, rubber products).
Issue requisitioned parts to Production Supervisors.
Assist with ongoing inventory checks to ensure stock data accuracy.
Be available for stock audits and willing to work overtime if necessary.
Undertake any additional duties or special projects as assigned by Line Managers and Supervisors.
Maintain adequate levels of production consumables.
Assist in training new Associates in Stores operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Forklift Certification.
Physical Demands:
Manual handling of products is required.
Work Environment:
Open-plan stores adjacent to an electro mechanical manufacturing area.
Duties involve working in various factory areas, including assembly, machining, and plating.
The stores area has open shelving and frequent access to external storage, resulting in variable temperatures.
