Qualification
* Current registration with relevant professional body
* English at GCSE grade C or Functional Skill Level 2 & Maths at GCSE grade C or Functional Skill Level 2
* Recognised mentoring qualification or equivalent experience
* Expectation to undertake Enhanced Practice qualification or equivalent.
* Demonstrates evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
* Diploma level training or equivalent in specialist area.
Experience
* Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of best practice, particularly within specialty area and the application of this in practice
* Experience of managing change as part of service and practice development.
* Demonstrates ability to apply research-based practice and advocate it to improve the quality of patient clinical assessment and management.
* Experience of supervising, teaching, mentoring and developing staff.
* Experience of implementing, commenting on and proposing changes to policies and protocols.
* Able to demonstrate ability to deliver training and education to patients.
* Able to accept responsibility for working under own initiative within boundaries of role.
* Demonstrates commitment to working as part of a team and ability to build the team.
* Experience of working in partnership with all levels of staff, evidencing the ability to plan and co-ordinate the provision of care.
* Experience of participation in research and development, and clinical audits in own specialist area.
