Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 + Bonus

The Role
As a Senior Analytics Consultant, you will lead the delivery of key client projects for our clients in the UK, Northern Europe, and North America. Your responsibilities will involve building trusted relationships with our clients, finding creative ways to solve problems, scoping projects, and delivering those projects either on your own or as the lead in a small team.
Successful candidates will bring experience with modern data stack technologies such as dbt, Looker, Google Cloud, Fivetran, Segment, Dagster, and Cube. Ideally, you'll have a relevant Google Cloud Certification (Data Engineer is preferred) and/or certifications from dbt Labs and our other partners or be committed to obtaining those certifications within your first three months with us.
You'll work with stakeholders at all levels of technical experience and seniority, engaging on projects you lead or deliver as part of a team.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Delivering and sometimes leading analytics and data engineering projects and initiatives including:
2. Configuring and implementing cloud and database infrastructure using tools such as Google Cloud, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake DW.
3. Transforming and modeling data into consumable information and business logic using tools such as dbt, Dataform, and Cube.
4. Developing dashboards, explorations, and data visualisations using tools such as Looker, Preset, Power BI, and Superset.
5. Developing test plans and testing data to ensure it is of high quality.
6. Leading projects using techniques such as Agile scrum/kanban.
7. Developing and implementing monitoring and optimizing strategies for development workloads to ensure efficient operations.
8. Leading the discovery of, and documenting, business logic and data definitions.
9. Working with prospects, customers, and RA sales/senior management teams to create solution architectures for current and prospective clients.
10. Designing data flows, data models, and data orchestrations.
11. Mentoring and guiding analytics and data engineers.
Knowledge:
* Obtaining, if you don't have so already, Google Cloud Data Engineer certification.
* Maintaining your dbt and Looker developer certifications and other relevant partner certifications.
* Staying updated with the latest data engineering technologies and methodologies, and implementing them as appropriate.
Collaboration: Collaborating closely with our CEO and Head of Delivery to align analytics and data engineering with business goals.
What We're Looking For:
* Real-world experience with Google Cloud and modern data stack tools such as dbt, Looker, Fivetran, Google BigQuery, and/or Snowflake.
* Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills, with a head for numbers and an attention to detail.
* An excellent grasp of SQL, data modelling, cloud data warehousing, and database design.
* Experience using software development methods (git, CI/CD, code reuse, etc.) in an analytics context.
* Experience in a consulting role and a strong ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements.
* Confidence in managing relationships (partners, clients, prospects, etc.) and working constructively with stakeholders at all levels of technical and data maturity.
* An entrepreneurial mindset, motivated by both the commercial and technical aspects of working for a consultancy, with a desire to help us and our clients grow their businesses.
* Someone based in the UK with the right to live and work here.
