You will work in classrooms and provide assistance to individual students or groups, helping them with learning tasks as directed by the Curriculum Manager and teaching staff. Your role will include facilitating one-to-one or small group sessions outside the classroom to support students who need extra help or additional challenges. Additionally, you will assist with general departmental administrative duties, such as managing resources, contacting students or parents, and arranging appointments to help maintain a smoothly functioning department. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality support to students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and fostering independent learning skills. Assist with the enrolment and registration process, ensuring the accuracy of documentation and records. Ensure all interactions reflect the highest level of professionalism and foster a positive and inclusive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information, adhering to data protection regulations. Support classroom teachers by preparing or adapting learning materials and using assistive technologies as needed. Help monitor students' progress toward their learning or behaviour targets and report any issues or successes to teaching staff and the Curriculum Manager. Assist with supervision on and off-campus, including during work placements and college trips. Contribute to team meetings, staff development, and in-service training as appropriate. Provide cover for classes with pre-prepared work in the absence of teaching staff. To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively support and engage with students, staff, and external partners. A supportive and cooperative team approach, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to resolve issues. An open, flexible mindset with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing an exceptional student experience. Proficiency with basic IT skills, including Word and Excel.
