Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

* Salary: £95 - £105 per day
* Contract: Full Time hours - term time only

GSL Education is in search of a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to fill a post at one of our client Primary Schools in Sheffield. A Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant (TA) plays a crucial role in supporting the education and development of children aged 7 to 11 years in primary schools.
Job summary:
* Help prepare and deliver lessons, ensuring they are engaging and accessible for all students.
* Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning, provide additional explanations, and assist with tasks.
* Support the teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment, managing behavior, and ensuring classroom routines are followed.
Role of a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant:
* Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
* Support students with their learning activities.
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support where needed.
* Encourage students to participate, stay focused, and strive for their best.
The successful candidate will:
* Experience working with children in an educational setting.
* Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is highly valued.
* Generally, a good standard of education is required, typically including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
