This is a fantastic opportunity to be based in Leeds, part of a 20 strong team of lawyers working on cutting edge litigation matters. The team's work is high profile and mostly of very high value, and regularly involves working with colleagues on cross-cutting issues. Lawyers can expect to deal with a wide range of topics, including: Commercial contract litigation Public procurement litigation Intellectual property litigation Construction litigation Admiralty litigation Public law & judicial review Litigation is conducted in the High Court (most often the Technology and Construction Court) but also the Administrative Court, Commercial Court and Chancery Division, The Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Matters include Arbitrations, Adjudications, particularly in relation to construction disputes, and Mediations. Lawyers in the team actively utilise all methods of ADR, with a particular focus on reaching settlements through negotiation and mediation. They also lead on the use of e-disclosure platforms and other technological innovations. This is a fabulous opportunity for a senior commercial litigator currently in practice seeing a move in-house or in-house lawyer looking to make a change to join a high-profile organisation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with senior level stakeholders throughout the organisation, the ability to think logically and be flexible in your approach.
