We’re seeking an experienced Band 6 nurse from a community CAMHS, crisis team, or inpatient background. This could be a secondment opportunity for those looking to gain unique experience in an evolving, specialist team.
Based at the Warneford site in Oxford, the team works to prevent hospital admissions and enable early discharges, collaborating closely with services across the Thames Valley.
We offer a supportive, inclusive environment with bespoke training, CPD, supervision, and wellbeing support. Full-time or part-time roles (minimum 22.5 hours) are available with flexible working options.
A driving license and access to transport are essential for community visits. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Main duties of the job
As part of the nursing team, you will have a wide range of knowledge across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person-centred care and support for young people and their families/ carers within a variety of settings.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Undertake specialist nursing assessments in collaboration with the service user and their families/carers and presenting back to the wider MDT. This will include clear risk assessments and add to the formulation of presenting needs for the young person and
family.
2. Work in partnership with service users and their families/carers to ensure the development of a treatment plan to facilitate their safety, promote their well-being and support their independence and inclusion in the community.
3. Regularly review care and outcomes, supporting service users to complete clinical outcome measures and monitoring progress and adapting treatment options as required.
4. Support and supervise junior members of the team and to act as a mentor/preceptor to student nurses/trainees.
