Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing various structures and fixtures. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials. The Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all installations meet quality standards and specifications.
Duties
1. Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
2. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
3. Perform heavy lifting as required to move materials and equipment safely.
4. Fabricate components as needed, ensuring precision in measurements and fittings.
5. Conduct masonry work when required, including bricklaying and stonework.
6. Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and in accordance with safety regulations.
7. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently.
8. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
1. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to fitting tasks.
2. Experience in carpentry or masonry is advantageous.
3. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
4. Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication when necessary.
5. Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings for accurate implementation.
6. Knowledge of roofing systems is beneficial.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£36,447.00 per year
