We are seeking a Senior Composite Manufacturing Engineer to join our expert team, contributing to the cutting-edge development of composite solutions for the aerospace industry.

What You Will Do
1. Collaborating with the Integrated Product Team to ensure composite components meet performance standards for cost, weight, and quality.
2. Leading and driving process improvement initiatives, aiming for cost savings and enhanced product quality.
3. Mentoring and coaching the Composite Manufacturing Engineering Team to foster technical growth and problem-solving abilities.
4. Supporting the Operations Team in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing and assembly challenges related to composite components.
5. Setting up new components in SAP and ensuring the smooth introduction of new products to the shop floor.
6. Defining technical specifications for tools and fixtures to ensure precise adherence to product requirements.
7. Managing and resolving engineering issues by implementing Engineering Change Notices into production.
8. Developing and updating Manufacturing Support Documents and conducting model, drawing, and Bill of Materials (BoM) reviews in line with project timelines.
9. Promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the team.
10. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support business objectives.
11. Any other duties as required to support business needs.
Essential Criteria
A Third Level Qualification in a relevant discipline with either a:
12. Master degree with at least 1 years working experience in the area of composites OR
13. PhD or 3 years research in the area of composites
OR
14. A Third Level qualification in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of experience in a Composite Engineering role
OR
15. HND/HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 5 years of experience in a Composite Engineering role.
Desirable Criteria
16. A minimum of 2 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI).
17. At least 2 years of experience in creating and optimising manufacturing procedures.
